Workplace gender equality (WGE) is a strategic lever for companies to build more sustainable workplaces while meeting regulatory demands and stakeholders’ expectations. When organisations advance WGE, they can achieve increased employee satisfaction, stronger financial performance, and enhanced opportunities to attract new clients and investors. At the same time, actively progressing WGE and integrating robust gender data helps organisations strengthen performance against ESG criteria.
However, due to evolving reporting obligations, companies often lack the frameworks, tools, or experience to report effectively on ESG performance, especially on the “social aspect” where metrices are not always clearly defined.
This eLearning course provides a starting point for HR professionals, business leaders, and ESG practitioners to report on WGE within ESG and sustainability frameworks. Through real-world business case studies and interactive exercises, learners will understand how to embed gender equality into business strategy and operations, and how to report on it effectively using the GRI sustainability reporting standards. The course also highlights tools such as the Gender Equality Assessment, Results, and Strategies (GEARS) assessment, which provides insights and actionable recommendations for progressing and reporting on WGE.
