Now on the Knowledge Hub: Updates on the impact of COVID-19 on private sector employees in Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines

In December 2020, Investing in Women (IW) and its partners—the Philippine Business Coalition for Women Empowerment, Indonesia Business Coalition for Women Empowerment, Vietnam Business Coalition for Women’s Empowerment— commissioned surveys of 300 men and 300 women employees ages 18 to 60 from large private sector firms in each of the three countries. Following the first set of surveys in May of the same year, which examined the initial impacts of COVID-19 on employees, the repeat survey sought to understand how the pandemic was affecting employees after almost a year of living with COVID-19.

These fact sheets give a summary of the findings around changes in income, productivity, mental and physical health, productivity and employer support to workers.  They also include brief recommendations on how employers can best support their employees.
