Private Sector’s Guide to Advancing Women’s Economic Equality: Strategies from the Trabaho Para sa Bayan Plan
Summary
The Trabaho Para sa Bayan (TPB) Plan 2025–2034 is the Philippines’ first 10-year labour market development plan. It aims to promote decent employment, broaden business opportunities, and lay the foundation for inclusive and equitable growth. Developed by the Government of the Philippines through the Department of Economy, Planning and Development (DEPDev), the Plan was crafted in consultation with key government agencies, the private sector, and development partners. Recognizing the vital role of the private sector in the TPB’s implementation, Investing in Women, an initiative of the Australian Government, partnered with DEPDev to outline some key strategies that businesses can adopt to support a more inclusive labour market and advance women’s economic equality.
