Investing in Women Enabling Policy Reforms Brochure

Policy reforms

Summary

The Investing in Women (IW) Enabling Policy Reforms Brochure outlines IWโ€™s approach to supporting policy reforms that strengthen the care economy and drive womenโ€™s economic equality in Southeast Asia. Recognising that social norms and systemic structures often place care responsibilities disproportionately on womenโ€”limiting their access to paid work and entrepreneurshipโ€”IW works with credible local institutions and private sector actors to strengthen the evidence base and drive collective action needed to influence and inform policy reform that supports womenโ€™s economic participation.

It features IWโ€™s ongoing work in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, including studies and pilots on the Future Demand for Care in Southeast Asia, employer-supported childcare in Indonesia, part-time and flexible work in the Philippines and at-home aged care in Vietnam.
