The case study reflects on the experience of DDB Group Philippines, a major integrated marketing communications and services groups in the Philippines, in improving and sustaining a gender-inclusive work environment through the company’s partnership with the Philippine Business Coalition for Women Empowerment (PBCWE).
The case study jumps off from the results of the Gender Equality Assessment Results and Strategies (GEARS). It draws on quantitative and qualitative data as well as primary research, which include in-depth interviews and small-group discussions with staff from DDB and PBCWE. It outlines the engagement and technical support that PBCWE has provided to DDB in conducting data-driven assessments, improving policies and processes, and developing action plans on workplace gender equality. It also studies the impacts of the PBCWE-DDB partnership on improving DDB’s workplace gender equality and analyses and the key drivers of change.
