Harry is a Manila-based Communications Officer who develops a range of communication and knowledge products and curates multimedia library for IW and DFAT. Prior to his engagement in IW, he held senior outreach and communication officer role in the Department of Education (DepEd)-United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Basa Pilipinas (Read Philippines) activity, USAID’s flagship education project in support of the Philippine government’s early grade reading program, implemented by Education Development Center. He led the production of knowledge and technical products, and more than 200 curriculum-aligned teaching, training and learning materials for millions of DepEd school administrators, teachers and pupils. He is also an experienced independent multimedia and publications specialist with over a decade of print, online and multimedia materials development and publications production track record for both governmental and non-profit organisations.
Harry holds a bachelor’s degree in Development Communication with specialisation in development journalism from the University of the Philippines-Los Baños and is an Advanced Certified Development Project Manager (Level 1). He is a financial literacy and independence advocate and has exposure to various investment instruments in the Philippines and globally. He also advocates for entrepreneurship, agri-preneurship, children empowerment and basic education reform.
