Media Monitoring Consultant

Thank you for your interest in joining Investing in Women.

Investing in Women: Women in Inclusive Sustainable Economic Recovery (IW) is a multi-country Australian Government initiative in Southeast Asia that seeks to accelerate women’s economic empowerment through increased and equitable opportunities in the private sector, contributing to inclusive, sustainable economic recovery and growth in targeted countries. Our objective is to support women to thrive in the workplace and succeed in business.

Building on the results, partnerships and lessons established under the first seven years of the program, IW’s new phase will extend and deepen Australia’s contribution to advancing gender equality in Southeast Asia through influencing and growing an ecosystem of policymakers, business leaders, capital providers and women’s economic empowerment actors.

If you are interested in joining our small, dynamic team and applying your skills, experience and passion to this mission, we want to hear from you.

About the Opportunity

IW’s approach includes a continuous learning and adaptation process, guided by the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) Framework. This framework assesses IW’s progress towards its goals, testing and applying methods to build an evidence base for program learning, adjustments and decision-making. The outcomes from the MERL Framework will not only guide IW’s performance but also contribute to the wider understanding of Women’s Economic Empowerment in the region.

Investing in Women is seeking to explore media monitoring tools and services or other technologies to address the information requirements of the program. Technology and industry landscapes have evolved considerably, and there is opportunity to explore new or improved solutions to address IW’s media monitoring requirements.

IW is looking to contract a content expert to review the available options, determine whether a media monitoring tool or service would be suitable, or if other more novel solutions are currently available to meet the identified need.

About you

IW is seeking a suitably qualified content expert to (1) review the available media monitoring options, (2) help determine which/whether a media monitoring tool or service would be suitable, or if other more novel solutions are currently available to meet the identified need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • In consultation with the IW team, the consultant will explore and provide a list to IW of the available media monitoring tools and/or services (including pricing and features)
  • Analyse and compare solutions, identifying any differences between the tools or services and mapping the viability of these solutions for use in tracking the indicators identified across the program.
  • Report on the findings of the analysis to the IW team and provide recommendations which tool or service, or combination both, best meets the program’s needs and offers the best value for money.
  • May include other tasks as agreed with IW
